Spring has sprung, the blossom is out, followed swiftly by the increasing pollen count set to VH. Put your allergies to one side, down an antihistamine and enjoy this month’s five things that got me gingered up this April 2025.
1 | Sigma BF – Camera
A sleek and stripped back stealth camera.

The new Sigma BF camera is stripped to the essence, balancing performance with simplicity, returning the focus to what matters most: your photographs.
2 | Kwein by Design – Graphic designer
Follow along on this uplifting journey of this fabulous freehand drawing designer.

Kate Weinberg specialises in graphic design, illustration and content creation. I’m really enjoying watching her Instagram as she documents her design and her unique hand-drawn illustration process.
3 | Sam Fender – Musician
New album – People Watching.

Sam Fender’s People Watching is a masterful blend of raw lyricism and soaring instrumentals, capturing the complexities of modern life with heart and grit. His anthemic sound and poignant storytelling make this album an unforgettable listen. I also love the black and white image Mac Scott took of Sam in the moving car, which I think really captures the mood and feeling of the album.
4 | Yagya – Musician
Electronic music, ambient and dub techno.

So this is my go-to chillout album for April if I need to get into a flow state and get the job done. Vor is the album by Aõalsteinn Gumundsson, a producer from Iceland, who has been involved with electronic music since the early ’90s.
5 | Ash Willerton – Sign writer & commercial lettering artist
A steady hand is required for some beautiful hand sign writing and lettering.

Ashley’s bespoke hand lettering and sign writing work can be found across the UK. I stumbled across his work on Instagram when I recognised a logo from a Pizza restaurant which is just up the road from me. I’ve always admired the sign and wondered who had created it. Now I know!
