Five things that got me gingered up this September ’23

That's it, summers over, (well, did we actually have one, apart from the last seven days of unseasonably scorching sunny September weather) we're now heading straight into autumn and the loooong grey months. The final bank holiday before Christmas has come and gone, what hope do we have left! Well, actually, a surprising amount of… Continue reading Five things that got me gingered up this September ’23

Five things that got me gingered up this July ’23

Gingered up July ’23 Whoops, I seem to have slipped again on my gingered up, updates! I skipped April because we were in Scotland, then I made a plan to get this out in May, well that didn't happen. We're now at the end of June. Sod it, lets aim for the start of July… Continue reading Five things that got me gingered up this July ’23

Quotes that got me thinking?

Five things that got me gingered up this March ’23

It’s been a while! This was meant to drop last year, then this Jan, then we got to Feb and somehow we ended up in March!

This was meant to drop in February, but one thing led to another, lethargy, procrastination and the just can’t be bothered syndrome got in the way!

With optimism abound, below are this month's curated selection of Gingerness personified.

Five things that got me gingered up this February 2021

It's the shortest month of the year, not that I'm counting the months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, seconds... If I had a fast forward button, I would press it and not let go until safely past the very annoying Covid-19 commercial break. Unfortunately that button's been disabled and every single one of us needs to… Continue reading Five things that got me gingered up this February 2021

Lunchtime lockdown doodles

I'm enjoying drawing freehand isometric shapes at the moment. Here's one I drew earlier today in my lunch-hour. More doodlings to follow. https://videopress.com/v/ERhqq6lY?preloadContent=metadata A time-lapse… Continue reading Lunchtime lockdown doodles

Five things that got me gingered up this January 2021

So here we find ourselves yet again, early January 2021 and back in lockdown 3.0! Blimey, just two weeks into the new year and we’ve had Brexit (whatever that was), a near civil war in the US and infections and deaths in the UK, due to Covid-19 are going through the roof! Thinking positively, nothing lasts forever, not even global pandemics. We have a vaccine being rolled out, we’re heading into Spring (although it doesn’t look or feel like that at the moment, just look out the window), it will get lighter by about two minutes every day and it’ll get warmer… …at some point.

So the second wave has come, we’ve had a fire break, a circuit breaker, a lockdown, tiers 1-3 (or 0-4 in Scotland) and now it looks like the vaccine has been given the green light just in time for this side of Christmas. Ding, and indeed dong, merrily on high, for some long awaited good news and cheer to finish off a rather bleak year! Oh, I forgot to mention Brexit, or should we just leave it there! Seasons greetings one and all. Be safe, be well, be healthy and stay creative. See you on the other side.
