5 things that got me gingered up this December 2020

So the second wave has come, we’ve had a fire break, a circuit breaker, a lockdown, tiers 1-3 (or 0-4 in Scotland) and now it looks like the vaccine has been given the green light just in time for this side of Christmas. Ding, and indeed dong, merrily on high, for some long awaited good news and cheer to finish off a rather bleak year! Oh, I forgot to mention Brexit, or should we just leave it there! Seasons greetings one and all. Be safe, be well, be healthy and stay creative. See you on the other side.

The 12 Disguises of Christmas

The 12 disguises of Christmas. I rummanged through the Christmas photobooth props and came up with these. Pretty much sums up 2020. Anyway, merry Christmas one and all, I'm feeling positive for 2021!

Bam, Boom, Bang!

No, it's not an early 1960s Batman and Robin TV series spin off. It's the dynamic trio of another rather splendid batch of home-brew I created in readiness for the 5th November and Bonfire night!

Keep your distance…

So as you may or may not know I enjoy making home brew beer. For me, it's a win-win kind of a thang! I get to make beer and drink it, I also get to be creative by making a beer label every time I make beer!

5 things that got me gingered up this September 2020

So looks like thinks are starting to hot up again out there. Lockdown looms once again, the second wave is almost upon us and winter is coming! If this isn’t enough to make you get creative then nothing will.

5 things that got me Gingered up this July

So, five things that go me 'gingered up' and grabbed my attention in the recent lockdown are as follows:

Spring has Sprung… again!

It's that time of year again when the days are getting longer, the temperature is getting warmer (just), the blossom is blossoming, the bulbs are a bulging and the sun is.... sort of shining!

Panto portraits part deux – Oh no it isn’t, oh yes it is!

It was that time of year again back in January when I had the opportunity to photograph some of the cast from this years KiDS (Killigrew Drama Society) pantomime performance of Aladdin, held at the Abbey Theatre, St Albans.

Pressing matters!

I recently attended a one day Adana/Letterpress course, run by Mick Clayton at St Bride Foundation

Wrappers Delight

Wrappers Delight. It's a fabulous coffee table book and an incredible graphical visual reference bible to what we were snacking on back in the day. Just don't count the calories!
