Bam, Boom, Bang!

No, it's not an early 1960s Batman and Robin TV series spin off. It's the dynamic trio of another rather splendid batch of home-brew I created in readiness for the 5th November and Bonfire night!

Keep your distance…

So as you may or may not know I enjoy making home brew beer. For me, it's a win-win kind of a thang! I get to make beer and drink it, I also get to be creative by making a beer label every time I make beer!

So, five things that go me 'gingered up' and grabbed my attention in the recent lockdown are as follows:

Spring has Sprung… again!

It's that time of year again when the days are getting longer, the temperature is getting warmer (just), the blossom is blossoming, the bulbs are a bulging and the sun is.... sort of shining!

Pressing matters!

I recently attended a one day Adana/Letterpress course, run by Mick Clayton at St Bride Foundation

Wrappers Delight

Wrappers Delight. It's a fabulous coffee table book and an incredible graphical visual reference bible to what we were snacking on back in the day. Just don't count the calories!

The Wonky Woo Wa and Spring Has Sprung beer labels

Last year my wife got me possibly one of the greatest birthday presents ever! A home brew beer making kit! It didn’t take me long to set everything up and get cracking with my first brew.

An intriguing book on doors

I would photograph ancient, modern, intriguing, mysterious, functional and decorative doors. The knackered, falling apart, recycled has-been varieties. Each one with a story to tell of power and wealth, protection and incarceration. After photographing the doors I would then use the pictures to create my very own coffee table book.
